Lewisham Council has launched a consultation to improve outcomes for unpaid carers, and ensure they feel visible, valued and supported in their caring role. The consultation will run for six weeks and will help the Council to shape its new Carer Implementation Plan for 2022-2024.
Through the consultation the Council wants to identify the priorities that matter most to carers and how they can best be supported. Last week we co-hosted a consultation event with the Council, with over 30 carers and professionals attending to share their views. You can see the lovely video from the event.
Please complete the consultation survey on the Council website to make sure your views are heard. We would also love to hear from you about any wider issues you would like to raise about how carers can best be supported as part of the consultation.
