Carers Thames Walk 2012
Have some fun, get some exercise and raise funds for Carers Lewisham.
All routes start at Southwark Cathedral. Here is a brief description of the options for 2012
Long Route
Follow the Thames upstream to Lambeth Bridge. Cross to the North Bank and return downstream to Temple. Walk through the Inns of Court, returning to the river. Continue to The Tower of London and walk round St Katharine’s Dock before returning to the South Bank over Tower Bridge and back to the Cathedral. About 9 miles
Medium Route
Follow the Thames upstream to Lambeth Bridge. Cross to the North Bank and return downstream to Temple. Walk through the Inns of Court, returning to the river. Continue to Tower Bridge, cross to the South Bank and back to the Cathedral. About 7.5 miles
Short Route
As much of the above as you want! But we suggest you go upstream to the Millennium Bridge, cross to the North Bank and return downstream to Tower Bridge. Cross to the South Bank and back to the Cathedral. About 2.5 miles
Wheelchair Route
Follow the Thames upstream to Lambeth Bridge. Cross to the North Bank and return downstream to The Tower of London and go round St Katharine’s Dock before returning to the South Bank over Tower Bridge and back to the Cathedral. About 7 miles

Starting in the New Year 2012 we will be running aseries of writing and music classes for parent carers – please note that unfortunately no child care will be available so your children must be of school age or in nursery.
Friday mornings 10-1pm
20, 27 January, 3 & 10 February – writing sessions (with one writer)
24 February, 2, 9, 16, 23 March – music sessions (with two musicians)
Plus Saturday 31st for the whole family to enjoy

Sainsbury’s Easter Bag Packing and Collection
Carers Lewisham is holding a bag packing and collection at Sainsbury’s Sydenham on 6th and 7th of April.
In our last event we raised a grand total of £875, thanks to all Young and Adult Carers help. We hope to do even better this time, but we need you help! If you have a few hours to spare please join us. Any time you can give is really appreciated!
