Get your FREE flu jab this winter
To prevent the spread of flu, unpaid carers who are in contact with vulnerable people are being encouraged to have a flu jab. Vulnerable people are people over 65 years, those of any age who have long term medical conditions, pregnant women, babies and young children.
When should I have the flu jab?
Although it is never too late, the best time to have the jab is between September and early November, before the main flu season. You need to have the vaccine every year. This is because the virus that causes flu changes each year, and the vaccine has to match that change.
