Supporting Young Carers in School
If you work in a school and are interested in supporting Young Carers, Cares Trust and The Children’s Society have put together the Young Carers in Schools program. This free initiative makes it easy for schools to support Young Carers by providing online resources to identify and support Young Carers with awarding good practice. You can get more information on the whole program here.
Our Young Carers team can also present in your primary or secondary school at a student assembly, or we can run a training session for your staff about identifying Young Carers. For more information, please contact us at 020-8699 8686 or email: info@carerslewisham.org.uk
