Support for adult carers
People often don’t think of themselves as a carer, because they see the support they give as a normal part of their role as a neighbour, friend, parent, sibling, partner or child. But if you provide unpaid care and support for someone who has an illness, disability, mental health problem, or addiction, you are a carer, and we are here to support you.
Our adult service provides information, advice and support for anyone aged 18 or over who cares for an adult who lives in the London Borough of Lewisham.
You can find details of all the regular sessions we run to support carers below, but we also run a series of activities and courses that we update on a regular basis. Details of our latest actvities and courses are on our homepage.
1-2-1 Advice and support
We provide confidential 1-2-1 advice and support to help with your challenges from getting a carers’ assessment to applying for benefits and everything in between.
We welcome carers from every culture, race and background. All you need to do is complete our Contact Form and email it to email@example.com.
One of our Information and Support Officers will call you to let you know that we have registered you and find out how we can best support you. As soon as you are registered you can start to access our services. We also accept referrals for carers from professionals and family members.
We’ve got lots of new activities, including Create Arts sessions and regular Wellbeing Walks. We’ve set out a simple timetable, so you can see at a glance all our activities and when and where they are happening.
