Dementia support
We provide specialist support to people who care for someone with dementia as part of the Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich Dementia Hub.
- 1-2-1 advice and support: We can provide advice and support to help you with the particular challenges that caring for someone with dementia brings, from helping you plan the support you and the person you care for will need, to getting information about local dementia support services and how to access them.
- Peer support: Our regular ‘after-work coffee mornings’ are an opportunity to meet other carers, share challenges and solutions, and enjoy some time for yourself in a social environment. The sessions are free to attend and are currently held over zoom every Friday from 6.30pm-8pm.
- Social activities: We also hold a number of face-to-face social activities, such as picnics.
We can provide support to you face-to-face, on the phone and by email and will always work with you in the way that suits you best.
To access the service, or to receive the link to our next after-work coffee morning, simply complete our Contact Form, and email it to veronica@carerslewisham.org.uk and we will get in touch with you to introduce you to our service and discuss how we can support you.
