Support for young carers
You may not think of yourself as a carer – it may seem like part of normal life to do the shopping, help with the cooking, mind a younger sister or brother, or help in other ways. But we know how tough those extra tasks can be, particularly when you are juggling school, college or a job.
If you are aged between 5 and 25 and live in the London Borough of Lewisham, or the person you care for lives in Lewisham, we are here to support you. Our young carers service can help you with advice, support, and a chance to relax and meet friends.
Our services are divided by age, so we can make sure we provide the support that is right for you.

Not sure if you’re a carer?
There are lots of things young people do that mean they are a carer from doing extra jobs in and around the home, such as cooking, cleaning to helping someone get dressed and move around. Read our guide on what a young carer is.
